There are several petitions you can sign but it's not as effective as calling up the criminals in congress and let them know what you think. The numbers are; toll free1 877 851-6437 or toll 1 202 225-3121
Here's some petition sites. The only way government works is by participating in the process. - Raphael
CITIZENS AGAINST HR. 2159 “DENYING FIREARMS AND EXPLOSIVES TO DANGEROUS TERRORISTS ACT OF 2009”
to: Members of House Committee on the Judiciary
NO TO HR. 2159 “DENYING FIREARMS AND EXPLOSIVES TO DANGEROUS TERRORISTS ACT OF 2009”
On April 29, 2009, a bill was introduced to Congress, ‘‘Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009’’ HR. 2159, that would allow The Attorney General, Eric Holder, to deny any "known" or "suspected" terrorist transfer of a firearm.
RELEVANT FACTS:
What this bill will do is allow ONE MAN the authority to deny firearms to anyone who opposes the administration’s policies or actions. According to U.S. Code : Title 18 : Section 2331: Sub Section 5: This is the definition of a "domestic terrorism".
(5) the term "domestic terrorism" means activities that -
(A) involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation
of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State;
(B) appear to be intended -
(i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;
(ii) to influence the policy of a government by
intimidation or coercion; or
(iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass
destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and
(C) occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of
the United States.
Therefore, if you endanger any human, at any point, in any way, during ANY violation of Federal or State law (Think driving while intoxicated, since you would endanger other drivers.), you could now be considered a terrorist. If you speak out against policies, actions, or the conduct of government officials, you would be attempting to coerce a civilian population, therefore, you are a terrorist. For those who have not seen the slew of reports that have leaked out over the past few months out lining who the Department Of Homeland Security considers "extremists" and "terrorists", please take a moment to read the documents below:

The spectrum, of who is considered a threat to our government, is so broad, so encompassing, that it could potentially cover anyone. This is why we must take notice. Our Constitutional right to bear arms, given to us in The Second Amendment to the Constitution, is not only being threatened, it could be terminated with the stroke of a pen. Please take time to read this bill, ‘‘Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009” (HR. 2159). Take notice that after denial The Attorney General does not have to give justification for denial. If we challenge the issue, it is written out in the bill, “The court shall sustain the Attorney General’s determination on a showing by the United States by a preponderance of evidence that the Attorney General’s determination satisfied the requirements of section 922A or 922B.”
“The possession of arms by the people is the ultimate warrant that government governs only with the consent of the governed. “

The Undersigned Respectfully Request:
We, the undersigned, concerned American citizens, hereby petition you, our elected Congress, to promptly deny passage to HR. 2159, ‘‘Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009”, introduced in The House of Representatives, April 29, 2009, for the reasons stated below:
- HR. 2159 ‘‘Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009’’ will directly violate our right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances, as given to us, The American People, by the First Amendment of The United States Constitution.
- HR. 2159 ‘‘Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009’’ will directly violate our right to bear arms, as given to us, The American People, by The Second Amendment to The United States Constitution.
- HR. 2159 ‘‘Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009’’ will directly violate our right to “life, liberty, and property”, as given to us, The American People, by The Fifth Amendment to The United States Constitution.
Sincerely,
The 2nd Amendment is once again under attack, this time by a bipartisan anti-gun coalition in the US House.
Rep. Peter King (R-NY) has introduced H.R. 2159 (aka “Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009″) seeks to give Obama’s gun ban enthusiast Attorney General Eric Holder sole discretion to decide who can and who cannot purchase a firearm. No trial, no hearing, just Eric Holder’s whimsical determination that a person might be involved in a terrorist act, now or sometime in the future, will be enough to keep an American citizen
citizen to exercise his/her constitutional right to keep and bear arms.
According to the NRA, “H.R. 2159 would give ‘the Attorney General the authority to deny the sale, delivery, or transfer of a firearm or the issuance of a firearms or explosives license or permit to dangerous terrorists. . . . if the Attorney General determines that the transferee is known (or appropriately suspected) to be or have been engaged in conduct constituting, in preparation for, in aid of, or related to terrorism, or providing material support thereof, and the Attorney General has a reasonable belief that the prospective transferee may use a firearm in connection with terrorism.’”
Not long ago the Department of Homeland Security distributed a classified a memo declaring virtually every consrvative American and veteran a potential terrorist. So al lof us considered "right wing extremeists" by the current administration are likely to find ourselves on holders list of Americans who will be denied this constitutional right.
I seem to recall, in the not to distant past, liberals up in arms claiming President Bush was using fear of terrorism as an excuse to suspend American's constitutional rights. (And Obama continues these same practices today) I guess these liberals consider it's OK for a Democrat to trash the Constitution.
This bill aims to strip "right wing extremists" of their 2nd amendment rights. Right wing extremists have been defined in the MIAC Report http://restoretherepublic.com/pdf/miac-strategic-report.pdf as veterans, advocates of the 2nd amendment, people opposed to the North American Union, "right to life" advocates, worshippers of Odin, and third party candidate supporters among others. H.R. 2159 gives the Attorney General of the US Eric Holder complete and sole discretion without due process to deny 2nd amendment rights to anyone deemed a "right wing extremist" whose definition is ever expanding. http://www.govtrack.us/congress/billtext.xpd?bill=h111-2159
I just added H.R. 2401; No fly, No buy Act of 2009. This bill seeks to deny Americans 2nd amendment rights by linking the NICS background check system to anyone on the no fly list to deny their right to buy a firearm. People are put on the no fly list with no due process whatsoever and by extension will deny their 2nd amendment rights as well with no due process.
