Pentagon sorry for cremating soldiers at pet facility
"The situation was brought to the attention of Robert Gates
by an Army servicemember who have had gone to Dover to
meet a fallen comrade yesterday and was appalled to
find at Dover Air Force base where the remains of
fallen soldiers first land from overseas the base
contracted out cremation of soldiers to a facility
that cremates pets."
Griffin continued, "There is no evidence any soldier
remains were ever comingled with pets but this soldier
reported back the treatment of our fallen soldiers was
undignified at best. When his friend's coffin was
taken to the crematory it was not flag draped and when
it arrived the only sign outside the crematory said
