These massive volumes are a ride on the wild side of ufology. Dozens of different authors, some well-known, many unknown to the majority of us, have contributed chapters in these three books. The majority of the articles seem to revolve around sinister themes of black projects, mind control, secret societies, the Montauk Project, scalar weapons development, mysterious deaths of scientists, Fema Camps, Area 51, the Philadelphia Experiment, etc. Then there are contributions by some who are more familiar to this editor personally, like Sandy Nichols and Scott Corrales (alas dealing with the more familiar alien/entity themes). There is certainly a wealth of high-strangeness in these volumes and though the reader should be advised to exercise caution and restraint in evaluating and interpreting their highly unusual and controversial contents, the uncensored and open exploration of the entire spectrum of the evidence and the wide variety of perspectives presented is, on the other hand, the strength and the appeal of these books. After all, for years mainstream ufology progressed at a snails pace. It took over two decades for the alien abduction phenomenon to begin to really be taken seriously, beginning with the Betty and Barney Hill case, and even then major changes in attitude and awareness didn’t happen over night.
In other words, reports that might presently seem unbelievable or not very probable, may later on, in the light of other emerging evidence, take on greater significance and meaning. Each researcher/investigator accumulates, in their work, potentially important clues and keys regarding these inexplicable phenomena. Within the hundreds of pages contained in these volumes might be some little clue (or clues) that could possibly connect with something from your own studies, and then suddenly Eureka! Deep and meaningful pieces of the puzzle might fit together!
UFOlogy is still an infant and inexact science. Ufologists must keep their minds and theoretical options open. As they used to say on the X-Files, “The truth is out there!” These volumes strive to pull pieces and perceptions of the truth together for the reader to ponder and question.
